20kW OkoFEN Pellematic Biomass Boiler and Pellet Silo
Mr & Mrs Young contacted us with a requirement to replace their ageing Aga which was providing their heating and hot water. The customers were planning improvements for their home in Swaffham Bulbeck and were keen to have the heating system updated at the same time.
Shane visited the customer’s home and went through the different options available. Mr & Mrs Young were eager to have a renewable heating system and expressed an interest in wood-pellet heating. They had visited our website and read about OkoFEN Biomass Boilers, they were particularly impressed that this system is simple to use and requires very little maintenance.
After carrying out heat loss calculations, a site survey and viewing the figures from an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), Shane recommended the installation of a 20kW OkoFEN Pellematic Biomass Boiler to meet their heating and hot water demands. A Biomass Boiler burns wood pellets, a renewable fuel which is available throughout the UK, with the closest depot being in Newmarket, Suffolk. By having a Biomass Boiler installed, our customer will have reduced energy costs, lower CO2 levels and will be able to apply for the Governments domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), a tax-free and index-linked quarterly payment for every kW of energy produced.
The customers were pleased that the quote was so affordable and the information was received shortly after. Our Engineers Adam, Sam and Liam completed the installation of the Biomass Boiler and Pellet Silo (providing storage for the wood-pellet fuel) in the customer’s garage within a week.
Following the Biomass Boiler installation, Sam went back to the house and replaced the radiators on the ground floor and first floor and then explained to the customer how the new system worked.
