This was a big project and one that we were very excited and privileged to be involved in. Arnold and Willis contacted us to ask if we could provide an estimate for the heating, plumbing, solar, and ventilation works at a site they were working on in Cambridge. It is always a pleasure to work alongside other reputable local businesses, especially if it involves venturing to our neighbouring towns and villages, spreading the word about the eco-friendly services that we offer.
Their customer was looking to be as sustainable as possible and not rely on fossil fuels, a dialogue we are hearing more and more as people’s awareness of renewal energy increases. They also liked the idea of future-proofing their home and reducing their energy bills at the same time. In fact, there were so many benefits, all of which were very appealing for obvious reasons.
Our heat loss calculations concluded that an 11.2kW Mitsubishi air source heat pump would meet the heating and hot water demands of the property. We recommended pairing this with an A-rated cylinder. Arnold and Willis were happy with our estimate and were eager to move forward to create
the perfect eco-friendly home for their client. As part of the project, we also carried out first and second-fix plumbing works, which included installing some stunning new bathrooms. Finally – yes, there is more – we installed an in-roof solar PV installation using Trina 415w panels and a Solis
inverter, along with Tigo Optimisers. Did we also mention the underfloor heating?
The homeowner is pleased with how efficiently the system works and is now living fossil fuel free, in turn reducing their carbon footprint. What a great result. We were delighted to work with Arnold and Willis on the project and look forward to working with them again in the future. It was rewarding to share our individual areas of expertise and support one another.
If you are looking to start your renewable journey and are considering a heat pump, solar panels, or any of the other eco-friendly technology that we offer, then give us a call, and we can arrange a tour of our Witchford showroom at a time that works for you.
