National Grid are offering to pay companies to use less electricity this winter between the hours of 4pm and 8pm to prevent blackouts.
If your company is using electricity for space heating or water heating during these hours, you should consider switching to a biomass boiler for the following reasons:
– National Grid will pay you to use less energy
– Your energy bills will be less with a biomass boiler – typically 4.5p per kWh
– Renewable Heat Incentive pays up to 8.4p per kWh for energy generated from a biomass system. e.g. 70kW biomass boiler installation for £40,000 would earn £8400 per annum, over 20 years, totalling £160,000.
For the purposes of our information, biomass is considered to be heating with wood, wood pellets or wood chips.
Eco Installer are Cambridgeshire’s Local Renewable Heating Specialists and are on hand to provide further advice on Renewable Heating and Government Incentive Schemes such as the Renewable Heating Incentive and Feed-in Tariff. The team can be reached on 01353 669000 or by e-mail at info@ecoinstaller.net.
Terms and conditions apply; all installations up to 45kW capacity have to be installed by a MCS company. Eco Installer hold MCS for biomass, heat pump and Solar PV
